How to Fix HP Accelerometer Error and Update it

HP Accelerometer is a software component of HP 3D DriveGaurd. It is is named after the three-axis digital accelerometer.  It acts as a motion sensor, alerting the system of any sharp movements and automatically parking the hard drive to prevent any damage to data.

Accelerometer.sys file on Windows is genuine file supplied by Hewlett Packard.

Update HP Accelerometer for Windows 10

You can updated an outdated HP Accelerometer driver for Windows 10 with the help Device Manager. Here are simple steps.

  1. Right Click on Start button.
  2. Click on Device Manager.
  3. Locate the HP 3D DriveGaurd Driver, click on it and select update.
  4. Reboot your Windows 10 machine after update.
